Explore the busy market of Sa Pa where the Red Dao, Black Hmong,Tay, Xa Pho ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding valleys and hillsides to sell their goods and buy provision. In the afternoon, you will take a hike to Sin Chai and Cat Cat village to experience the daily life of the Black H’mong and great scenery of mountain and terrace rice field on the way.

This morning, we have chance to explore the villages of different ethnic groups around Sapa. First, we take very beautiful drive from Sapa to the villages along the valley of Muong Hoa. The scenery like a painting of Mother Nature with the fields on the terrace, waterfall on the hill side, the green of the vegetation, a winding stream down below and the air is so fresh and pure. Our first stop is at Y Linh Ho – village of the H’mong people. It is said that H’mong was one of the first immigrants to this area and famous for their hand weaving and terrace rice field in Sapa. Take a beautiful trek to Lao Chai – the other village of Mong along the spectacular scenery of mountain and terrace rice field.. We take a walk around the village then keep hiking to the village of Ta Van of the Giay people on easier trail, experience the diversity of hill tribe people there. Giay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are built of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here.

On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend. The trek is harder today but the scenery you can admire along the trek is the best during your stay in Sapa. We continue along small paths along the rice fields, following the small trail on the slope of mountain with the panorama view of Muong Hoa Valley underneath, trekking into beautiful green bamboo forest before descend to Muong Hoa River, where you can have the rest by famous Cloud Bridge across the river. From here, you will trek up to Su Pan where you will meet the car and transfer direct to Ecolodge Resort.
