In the afternoon of 10/12/2016, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, the director of the Center for Conservation of Hue monuments informed: Since summer 2017, the center will open a part of the Hue Citadel to welcome visitors.
Because many people traveling to Hue in Vietnam say that the visit is difficult because of the high temperature in summer. Therefore, the Centre will open a part of the Hue Imperial City at night since the summer of 2017.
“As a result, a part of the Hue Citadel will be opened along the axis: Ngo Mon – Thai Hoa – The Mieu – Cung Dien Tho – Truong Sanh – Tu Phuong Vo Su – Hoa Binh. At the same time, there will be products of cultural tourism. At night, the space of the Imperial City is very beautiful which should be interesting for visitors. ”
Mr. Hai also informed that there will be other cultural activities in the street of Doan Thi Diem, Hue royal cult ceremony…
On the occasion of the Heritage Day of Vietnam in 23/11/2016, an interesting exposition of antiquities of the Nguyen Dynasty will be organized. Since the abdication of King Bao Dai in 1945, several ancient objects were kept in Hanoi by the Vietnamese government. This time, many antiques from 2,500 objects will be presented in Hue for the first time as: gold sword of King Gia Long, tools of the king, royal tools…
There is very good news: the Museum of antiques of Cham people will be opened where there are about 88 objects associated with the Royal Museum of Antiquities of Hue built in 1923 during the reign of King Khai Dinh.
